Hoooooly crap, I'm working on another frontpage blog. The last one I'd started working on was about the Plagueworks and the new Armory updates, but those are a *little* dated at this point. I might write up a Plagueworks "walkthrough" later, however. In an effort to make this seem less like "Oh, general news you can read about on wow.com or Mmo-champ," I'm gonna put some more guild news in here as well. Including but not limited to: Promotions, Raid drops, Bank announcements, etc.

In recognition for his ongoing help in keeping the raid knee-deep in technical strategy(and keeping healers in line), Fylwind has been promoted to Officer. His duties will include overseeing the healers in raids, as well as general strategy.
Congrats to Oxalis on reaching level80 last week! <insert witty quip about his first end-game ready character here> He's already gotten himself just about completely geared up and primed for ICC.
Grats to Riplee, who pulled out the Lunar Fest achievements on not one, but TWO characters. You're crazy.
Power Auras Starting this week, I'll be posting a little bit of info on some of the add-ons that I have under the "Required/Suggested Addons" section on the Wiki. This week, we'll talk a little about Power Auras. now, this will not be a step-by-step on how to set it up, as there are plenty of other tutorial vids out there. I'll post a link to the one that I used, initially.
Power Auras is a very useful addon that helps you track buffs and debuffs on yourself, or your target. It's extremely versatile, and fairly easy to set up. On the forums, recently, I've posted a list of "strings"that can be imported into Power Auras to help track raid buffs and debuffs. The video posted will show you how to set up your own. Even though it's Hunter-specific, I've used the knowledge gained from that video to set up auras for my mage, my warrior and my shaman.
General WoW News Now to the juicy heart of it all, the News. 3.3.3 is around the corner now. What does this mean? Well, there are a host of new changes. Moreover, there's one change that's going live as soon as tomorrow.
The drop rate of Frost Lotus, from herbs in Northrend, has been increased by 50%.
This is great news for keeping flasks in stock in the bank, and for driving the price of Frost Lotus down(and in turn the price of flasks). Here's to hoping this is a change for the better.
As for 3.3.3 changes, I won't itouch on everything. Instead, I'll just talk about some of the more interesting updates.
Personally, I find these changes interesting. This should greatly reduce the price of crafted items using these mats, and, hopefully, make the Glacial bags a little cheaper. The 7 day cooldown on the Glacial bags makes alot of sense, considering the other two 22-slot bags, you realistically only have 1-2 chances a week to get (Onyxia & Sartharion's bags)

Random Dungeon Changes Random dungeon 15 minute vote kick limit gone in 3.3.3 It's not mentioned in the notes, but the Vote Kick option no longer has a 15-minute cooldown.
Vote kick reason in 3.3.3 This might not answer your question -- which may or may not have been rhetorical anyway -- but we did find that a lot people were clicking "Yes" on the Vote Kick alert, then later asking, "why did we kick that guy?" The idea is to make the person who wants to kick someone from the group give everyone else a reason. If the reason is silly or defamatory, a surprising number of people could very well reject it.
While many people are quick to take into account all of the worst possible scenarios with any presented changes to the game, we find that those cases are typically the minor fringe cases once the changes are put in action.
Culling of Stratholme Players may now skip the initial introduction dialog to this dungeon once they have completed it at least once.
I see these changes being for the better, personally. A prime example would be the issue that Ox ran into the other day -- a tank refusing to tank, being immature, and holding an entire group up for 15 minutes. All the 15-minute cooldown timer did was flare up tempers and give the paladin the power to control the group's time. The vote-kick reason will be great, for those cases where some guy thinks another person isn't pulling their own weight and decides to kick him for no reason.
Possibly the best thing to come from the dungeon changes, though is skippable CoT: Strat intros ! Finally, we don't have to listen to Arthas blab on endlessly anymore. At least at the beginning of the instance. But hey, anything to speed that instance up, right?
Not a whole lot of information is known about this new raid instance just yet. The information they *have* given us points to a dungeon layout similar to Obsidian Sanctum. There will also be three "miniboss" drakes(Baltharus the Warborn, General Zarithrian, and Saviana Ragefire) before the main boss, Halion the Twilight Destroyer. There will be loot comparable to that of ICC10/25, as well as Heroic difficulties of both. Halion, as well as the Drake bosses, will drop Emblems of Frost. A number of you know about my personal jobless-ness situation already, but it's coming to a head, now. Basically, I've been issued the ultimatum of "Find a way to get me $300, or get out" by my mom. Not out of maliciousness, but simply because she's unable to support paying for the house over here anymore. I'll be away for an unknown time period -- I'll be on and off sporadically, but I don't know if I'll be able to attend raids. Effective immediately, Laude is the acting guild leader. I've given him permission to promote people to Assistant ranks to help him out, and I'll still be keeping an eye on everything as best I can.
I don't know what else to really say here, except "Wish me luck!" Also, I'm sorry if I've been kind of a jerk lately. All my stresses are piling up and making it hard for me to keep my calm.
EDIT: No sooner did I post this, did I get a phone call to arrange an interview. So, we'll see Wednesday.
