These are our rules. If you have any questions or require clarification on any of rules, please contact Ayasu(Usaya) via forum PM or in-game.

Please note that these rules are subject to change. It is the responsibility of individual guild members to ask for clarification and to be aware of the current rules and changes. I will gladly answer all of your questions, but it is quite impossible to just "know" if you understand. Thank you.

EVENT AND CONDUCT RULES

General Rules:

  • Please do not run with PUGs(Pick Up Groups) of raids we have planned for the upcoming week. If you are not sure of what raids we are running, they will be posted on both the in-game guild calendar. We will attempt to have calendar invites posted NO LATER THAN Monday evening.
  • Occasionally, a leader, most often Ayasu, will say "CLEAR CHAT" over the Raid chat channel. At that time, everybody needs to be quiet and pay attention, including chatter over the party, guild and say channels. THIS IS IMPORTANT, as it is meant for talking over strategy and necessary reminders.
  • Be courteous and mindful of your guildmates. Remember that text can be a horrible medium for communication and, as such, there can be misunderstandings.
  • No toys during the raid. "Toys" include: Trainsets, Lil' XT, Crashin' Thrashin' Racer, Crashin' Thrashin' Robot, any loud and annoying pets or items such as Picollo of the Flaming Fire or Mohawk Grenades. They are distruptive and distracting to the raid environment. You will be given one warning to stop. If you insist on playing with your toys, you can do so in Dalaran.

Event times

  • 10-man raid schedule: (Please note, this schedule may change)
    • 8PM - Midnight EST Friday and Saturday: ICC10(1st Team)
    • 8PM - Midnight EST Sunday and Monday: ICC10(2nd Team, when applicable.)
  • 25-man raids: (Please note, this schedule may change)
    • 7PM - 10:30PM EST Tuesday and TBD: ICC25.
      • There will be a "hard" cutoff time at 10:30PM EST. People have work, school, etc, and cannot be up all night. Invites will be sent out 15 minutes before the raid start time, and everyone will be expected to be *in* ICC, with any and all gemming or enchanting they may need, as well as flasks, consumables, etc. Unexcused Tardiness *will not* be excused, and excessive tardys can result in a Verbal Warning.
  • Hard Modes: Hard modes in Ulduar, ToGC10, and ICC10(when applicable) will be decided on the WEEK PRIOR to doing them.
"Signing" for rules changes
  • It is now required to "sign" rules changes posts on the forums by replying to the thread, noting that you've read over the changes and understand them. If you do not post that you have read the new rules changes within a week of the initial posting, you will be reminded to do so daily until it gets done. This is non-negotiable.

Vent and Raid Chat Rules

  • Ventrilo is for use by guild members only.
    • Exceptions include: PUG'd raiders; friends of guild members, but ONLY if cleared with Ayasu first.
  • No disruptive Vent/Raid chatter. Distruptive Vent/raid chatter includes: talking over the raid leader and assistants during a fight, prolonging a conversation to the point where the raid leader cannot speak over you, any joke that might be seen as remotely offensive. Basically, don't be immature. Personal conversations should be taken to tells, or another channel. Raid chat is for conveying useful information to the raid, not for talking about your weekend plans.
  • Being able to hear Vent during a raid is required, as it helps to ensure that you are on task and hearing all strategy and commands from the raid leader.

Warnings

  • 1st Tier -- Verbal Warning
  • 2nd Tier-- Verbal Warning + Reduction in rank(1 week probationary period back to Initiate rank)
  • 3rd Tier -- Verbal Warning + Reduction in rank(1 more week probationary period back to Initiate rank) + removal of lotting rights on all items for 2 weeks.
  • 4th Tier -- Removal from Guild

"Warnable" offenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Trade Spam
  • Disrespecting a leader, or another member
  • Causing a disruption
  • Misrepresentation of the Guild (making Dimensional Death look "bad" in the public eye)
  • Harassing other guilds(this does not include harassing horde guilds. That's part of the game, afterall)
  • Changing people's comments
  • Pulling ahead of the tank
  • Flash AFKs during raids
  • Constant tardys/holding up a raid
  • Using toys during raids

Zero Tolerance

Dimensional Death has in effect a Zero Tolerance rule for Ninja Looting. We are not, and will not be associated with, Ninja Looters. If you are found guilty of ninja looting ANY item from ANY group for ANY reason, you will be removed from the guild.

LOOT DISTRIBUTION RULES

Delcaring Your Specs

  • Upon joining the guild, you will be asked to declare a Main Spec and primary Off Spec for all of your characters.
  • This can be changed once a month. On the first of every month, you will have until midnight EST on the 4th(that's 4 days) to "change" your specs for your main, and your alts.
    • Once you declare your specs, it will be "locked" in place until the first of the following month.
  • If an undeclared character is part of the raid, you must declare a main and primary off spec at the start of the raid. This will apply to all PUG'd players as well.

10-man Raid Loot Rules

Loot will be handled as follows on a per-raid basis(ie: Onyxia10, Ulduar10, TOC10, TOGC10, and ICC10 are counted as seperate raids)

  • Marks of Sanctification(ICC10Heroic): You may only roll on Marks of Sanctification if you have a piece of T10 gear for you main spec.
  • All non-tier loot will weighted as followed: Main Spec > Off Spec. You will be allowed one of each category, per raid night.
  • All main spec rolls will be 1-100 rolls. All off spec rolls be be 101-200 rolls. Rolls made before the item is linked for rolling will not be counted. You will have approximately 30 seconds to roll on gear before the loot is DE'd. If there are *no* rolls for it, then the item will be disenchanted.
    • If you already received an item, and are wishing to roll on a piece that no one is rolling on, you must speak up before it is master looted to the disenchanter/rolled on for greed rolls.

25-man Raid Loot Rules

/Roll based loot system

(NOTE: Until we have enough people to field 20+ raiders from the guild, we will continue to work from the "one up-one off" model. This will be closely monitored for cases of Main and Off spec to prevent gear being assigned to someone of the wrong spec/class to use it.)

Under the /roll based system, once an item has been announced that it's open to rolls, you have 15 seconds to /roll on an item. That said, please come into the raid knowing what items are and aren't upgrades, as we would like to make the loot handling as quick and easy as possible. If the person handling the loot is not needed for clearing trash, it will be expected that you clear trash *while* loot is being distributed(if applicable).

All main spec rolls will be 1-100 rolls. All off spec rolls be be 101-200 rolls. Rolls made before the item is linked for rolling will not be counted. You will have approximately 20 seconds to roll on gear before the loot is DE'd. If there are *no* rolls for it, then the item will be disenchanted.

If you already received an item, and are wishing to roll on a piece that no one is rolling on, you must speak up before it is master looted to the disenchanter/rolled on for greed rolls.

Rolling on the Bloods for Shadow's Edge

The bloods will be handled on a per-run basis. The person who rolls on and wins for one blood will receive both bloods from each boss. Bloods will not count for main *or* offspec rolls, as they are considered Quest items. You must be on the quest and have your Light's Vengeance in order to be eligible to receive the items.

Zero-Sum DKP

(This loot system will only go into effect once we are able to field 20+ raiders from the guild in the 25-man raids and will not cover the Ruby Sanctum upon its release.) Dimensional Death will use a DKP system known as "Zero-Sum" for its 25-man raids. In a Zero-Sum DKP system, points inflation is not a major problem, and this allows for new members to enter the system fresh, and still be in the running for gear. As such, this system is also "PUG Friendly" for if we need to PUG people.

A quick explanation of this system:

Under a "Zero-Sum DKP" system, if you were to add the total points of all members in the guild together, you would always get 0. Under this system, your points *can* go Negative(in fact it has to, to work correctly). Each time someone "buys" an item with points, the total amount of points is distributed among all members in the raid, as well as a "Points Bank." Items that are DE'd or BoE items that are placed in the raid bank will be bought by the "Points Bank" and the appropriate amount of points will be distributed to the raid.

When a boss dies, loot will be distributed one item at a time. During item distribution, raid chat must be clear of all chatter. The Raid Leader will call a "CLEAR CHAT." The Master Looter will call out an item, and if you want the item, simply speak up in raid chat. The people who speak up will be compared to the current points list, and the item will be given to the person with the most points.

Points will be handled on a *per PERSON* basis, covering all alternate characters a person may have. (For example, under the DKP system, the characters Ayatsu, Ayahsu, Usaya and Ayasu will all be filed under "Ayasu.")

Item point costs are as follows:

  • ilvl264 drops -- 25 points
  • Tier10.5 tokens -- 37.5 points
  • Lich King Weapons -- 50 points

All leaders will be required to run the addon HeadCountHeadCount@Curse(only need to have active during our raids), and will be asked to help keep track of attendance. HeadCount tracks attendance and loot, and its usage will be covered in a thread on the Leadership forum.

Attendance, Loot and Points Tracking

Attendance, Loot and Points are tracked using a schema called DKP. You can find the attendance listing here: http://ddeath.overminddl1.com/wowdkp/listmembers.php

We will be using a DKP tracking system to measure attendance, points and item drops. Other things that will be documented here are warnings, promotions, demotions and a list of alts. Clicking a member's name gives a detailed history. If you find any attendance, points or items awarded to be in error, please reply in the event's attendance thread, if available. Otherwise, simply make a new thread.

ATTENDANCE

If you are logged on and have access to the raid where the night's event is taking place, then you are expected to attend. Failing to attend may result in warnings given, depending on the leaders' decision. Just because you may have all the items that raid drops, it doesn't mean that you're exempt from helping others and, in turn, helping the guild as a whole in its progression.

If you are going to be away for an extended period of time (we're talking a few weeks here,) please post a thread under the forum topic "The Dusty Trail" Doing so lets us know that you've got more pressing matters and simply aren't abandoning the guild. No negative marks will be held against you in the meantime. Also, it lets us know that we'll have to fill the gaps left on our events, so it benefits everyone to tell us.

As is the case with point discrepancies, exceptions will be made for people with actual real-life problems that are simply unable to log on. If you return and find you're on the Inactive list, just explain the situation to us and the leaders will discuss getting you back up to speed.

Leaving Early

If you find that you have to leave early, it is ESSENTIAL that you check out with the person in charge of attendance. If you don't know who is taking attendance for the night, simply ask and make sure that the correct person knows.

This rule extends to prolonged AFK periods of 15 minutes or more. If "flash" AFKs become problematic, then you will be removed from the the raid and lose your raid slot for that night. It doesn't take long to tell somebody that you have to go AFK and why, so please be considerate to your fellow guild and raid members.

If, however, you are disconnected due to power outage, medical emergencies, etc, then please let us know after the fact. After each event night, the list of attendance should be posted, each containing who was there and for what bosses they fought. Use these threads to explain your absence or bring up mistakes in point allocation. MAKE NOTE that doing so doesn't guarantee partial compensation! If we made a mistake, then we'll fix it, but it's not something to be abused. If sudden disappearances are a recurring problem, then there's a good chance you'll go home for the night empty-handed.

"Idle" status

One Month

If a member is gone or inactive for more than a month without posting on the forums and informing the guild, they will moved to "Inactive/Status Unknown" until they return to events regularly. They will receive a verbal warning about posting on the forums for long absences.

Two Months

If a member is gone or inactive for more than two months without informing the guild, then they will be reset to Initiate.

Four Months

If a member is considered "inactive" for more than 4 months, they will be removed from the guild.

RANK PRIVILEGES

Guild Rank Details

There are currently 8 different guild ranks. Their names and privileges are as follows:

  • Initiate -- This is the "trial" rank. Members of this rank will not be allowed to pull from the bank, but they can view the tabs and deposit items. If you are level 80, you will stay on this rank until you have been active within the guild for two weeks. If you are not yet level 80, you will stay at this rank for at minimum one month. To progress to the Member rank, you must contact a leader(via tells, PMs, vent or ingame mail) and ask to be promoted to the next rank. If the leaders believe you have not been active enough, you will stay as an Initiate, and can ask again after 1 week.
  • Alts(No Auth) -- Member Alts(with no Authenticator). This rank cannot pull items from the bank.
    • If a character previously declared an Alt is changed to a Main, then the previous "Main" character will be demoted to Alt status. The Alt getting changed to Main must remain as an "Alt" until at least 3 AM Server Time(or the next day). The new "Main" will be promoted to Member rank. This is a safety measure to ensure no one takes more than their alloted amount from the bank.
  • Member (NoAuth) -- Member (No Authenticator). This is the rank that you will be put into once you meet the "Initiate to Member" requirements above. To achieve the full "Member" rank, you must show proof(Summon Core Hound Pup) that you have an Authenticator to Ayasu. Limited access to the guild bank. Can pull 3 items from the tab labeled "No Authenticator." All Members can request items from the Request Only and Raid Bank tabs.
  • Member(Alt) -- Member Alts, with Authenticator. This is the rank that members with proven Authenticators will be placed in. This rank can pull 3 items each from the Crafting, Consumables and No Authenticator tab.
  • Member -- Members who have met the "Initiate to Member" requirements above and have proven ownership of an authenticator. This rank can pull 6 items each from the Crafting, Consumables and No Authentictor tab. All Members can request items from the Request Only and Raid Bank tabs.
  • Raid Assistant -- This rank is reserved for members of the guild who actively help to keep raids rolling. Promotion to this rank requires an Authenticator and is handed out at the Guild Leader's discretion. Raid Assistants can access the Raid Bank and Request Only tabs, but may only do so with an Officer or the Guild Leader's permission.
  • Officer -- This is the main Officer rank, reserved for full officers. Full officers help run the guild along side the guild leader. Officers have full access to the guild bank. Only members with an Authenticator will be considered for officer status, even if they meet the guild leader's officer requirements. An Officer's duty is dependent on the role assigned to them by the guild leader, and will be notated in the officer's Officer Note.
  • Guild Leader -- This is the guild leader. The guild leader performs raid leading, promotions, bank maintenance, site maintenance, Ventrilo maintenance, rules updates, etc. In other words, the guild leader does all the paperwork.

Guild Bank

Right now, we have five guild bank tabs.

  • Tab One(Request Only) -- This tab holds crafting items, enchanting items, BoE gear, epic gems, etc. Basically, all high-demand/expensive items. If you see an item in this tab that you would like, please send a leader a tell or in-game mail requesting the item. Depending on the item, the leader will either give it to you, or send the request to the guild leader for clearance.
    • Items needing guild leader approval are items such as BoE Epics, Epic Patterns, and item stacks over 10.
  • Tab 2(Crafting) -- This tab holds various inexpensive crafting items, such as blue and green quality gems, fish and patterns. Items in this tab will sometimes be announced "Free For All" or be placed on a "Spring Cleaning" status. At that point, it's first come first serve to whoever wants to do whatever with the items.
  • Tab 3(Consumables) -- This tab holds ready-made items(gems, glyphs, food) and enchants. "Free For All" and "Spring Cleaning" applies here as well.
  • Tab 4(No Authenticator) -- This tab holds inexpensive items and other items such as bags, BoE blues, pets, "toys," etc. If you do not have an Authenticator, this is the only tab you will be able to access.
  • Tab 5(Raid Bank) -- Flasks, Fish Feasts, Raid Buff items and another depository for BoE epics. Same requesting rules apply. Flasks, Runescrolls, Drums and Fish Feasts are *not* requestable, as they are used for the weekend's raids.
  • Currently, there is not much money in the guild bank. Repairs have been, as such, disabled.
  • Please note that if you place a large amount of an item that does not belong in the bank(such as low level crafted or BoE items), these items will be mailed back to you by a leader.
  • Items under the raid tab will be handled on a per-raid basis. Please note, that for 25-man raids, Flasks *will not* be handed out to every raid member. Flasks will only be given to those who did not remember to bring them, in order to speed the run up. Flasks will not be given to PUG'd raid members(excluding good friends of the guild, though this will be handled on a per-person basis).

Item Requesting

  • Items and gear in the Raid Bank and Request Only tabs may be asked for by any member of the guild. If it is a leveling item, it will be placed in the non-request tabs. If it is a piece of level 80 epic gear, it will be placed in one of the two "locked" tabs. To request an item, please do so by sending an in-game mail to an officer. If you are not online at the moment the officer checks their mail, it will be mailed back to you.
  • Items needing guild leader approval are items such as BoE Epics, Epic Patterns, and item stacks over 10.
  • If you see an item in this tab that you would like, please send a leader a tell or in-game mail requesting the item. Depending on the item, the leader will either give it to you, or send the request to the guild leader for clearance.
