Dimensional Death Wiki:About
From Dimensional Death Wiki
Dimensional Death is a linkshell that was started back in May 2007 by Ayasu, Aryela, Almac, Celedh and Sturm(all from the Phoenix Server). Originally intended as a semi-casual linkshell for sky runs, it has since evolved into a large, close-knit group that currently runs Sky, Sea, some Ground, Limbus and soon, Dynamis and Salvage.
Though the casual-ness of the shell has shifted to a more hardcore style, the goals of the shell still remain the same: Have fun, and let's all get shiny stuff!

A linkshell is just an inventory slot and some letters, but the people in it are what make it good or bad. I've been playing this game for 4 years now and never have I been in an LS with such awesome people, who all know their jobs, and can work together really well.
The one thing that sets us apart from all the other LSs is that many of us don't believe in the "cookie cutter" methods. The lot of us think outside the box on many things. There's more communication in this LS that I've seen in most social LSs. Sure, we have our times we BS around, and cut up, but when it's time to buckle down and fight the big stuff, we pull together and we win.
How many HNMLSs can say they've beaten Kirin 8 times without losing in their first 7 months?
How many of them can boast they recovered from a complete wipe on Kirin to take the win?
Prolly not many. We've done some amazing things. From Shen, to Alistor Antlion, to the 4 Gods to Kirin. Everything we've done, we've done right.
I've been a part of a good number of endgame shells. Some I'm not to proud of(BlackTheory and Ribbon) and some could have done better(Clashes). But this is, like I said, the best linkshell -- in general -- I've been a part of.
I think one of the important things is that we don't limit ourselves to allowing /only/ 70+ members. We have a ton of lowbies and a few newbies. That brings through a better social aspect of the game. Also, we don't limit events by level. Examples are Kreme coming to our Hakutaku as a 30RDM and Zenny doing Einherjar with us as his SAM, or even allowing a member who just got sky at 65 to come and fight with us.
When I started this shell, I didn't know what to expect. Somewhere, deep in the back of my mind, I thought that it wouldn't last through the summer. Attendances were spotty at best and people weren't putting effort into it. But it lasted. And now, we have almost 30 active members. This linkshell has come a long way since it started. Few can boast only 2 losses in 7 months.
The goals and aims of DD have shifted and evolved with the wants and needs of the linkshell. You guys wanted to do sea stuff, and now we're testing the waters of Limbus every week. Now there's talks of Einherjar and Salvage, and sea gods, and ground and a whole bunch of other things.
When we started this shell, the original leaders were myself, Sturm, Aryela, Almac and Celedh. The goal we had was for a semi-casual shell where people didn't have to stress everything and we could all just have fun playing the game we so enjoyed. At that time there was little structure for points, attendance, drops and schedule.
Now, our leaders are myself, Celedh, Robinthehood, Footstool, Markynaz, Tang, Nyekyu and Slvr. But we still try to uphold that semi-casual atmosphere, because, I think, that's an important aspect of the shell.
Long story short... Thank you guys for a great 7 months of this linkshell, and may there be many months more! Our 2008 goals: THE TOP!
